BALANCE ~ Lives in Transition, Inc. was formed in September 2010 as a unique support system to improve the treatment and quality of life for residents of Florida's Heartland's behavioral health. BALANCE’s greatest strength is the dedication of its members. We are the families, friends and individuals that serve to strengthen communities of Highlands and Hardee Counties. Behavioral health is a serious medical concern that affects one in four families. No one is to blame. Treatment works, but only half of the people living with mental concern receive treatment. BALANCE is engaged in a variety of activities to create awareness about behavioral health and promote the promise of recovery for residents of the Heartland.
First, we offer a variety of support groups for:Behavioral Health, Dual-Diagnosis,and Family/Care-Givers .Schedules are on our calendar page.
We are educating the public via community health fairs throughout the area. By invitation, we speak to various clubs, organizations and housing communities offering up-to-date information about mental health. Current information is on our web page and Facebook site.
